Shinobi This is a trick question in my opinion. One can be born in a ninja village and yet never become a ninja. However should that individuals father decide that he wants them to be a ninja that child is obligated to begin training to be one anyway. Yet at the same time one can train to BE a ninja without ever having joined a village! Does this make them a ninja? And what does it mean to be a ninja? There is a common expression nowadays where people are refered to as ninja simply for being able to walk quietly. Is this so because they were born lighter on their feet then others?
